# Overview

Own is a permissionless protocol to issue tokens pegged to stocks, indices & ETFs. Think of Hyperliquid or Maker DAO but for tokenizing RWAs & traded as native ERC20 tokens.

The protocol creates a two sided market where Users on one side can mint any liquid RWA as an ERC-20 token by paying a floating interest rate, while LPs on the other side earn this interest in exchange for backing that pool. \

Once the tokens are minted they can be freely traded on DEX's like Uniswap, where anyone can access them permissionlessly.
