# Legal Notice

Own Protocol is a permissionless, decentralized protocol that facilitates fully collateralized equity exposure through perpetual Total Return Swaps. The protocol itself operates autonomously on-chain.

However, due to regulatory restrictions on the offering of swaps and derivatives in certain jurisdictions, **the frontend interface of Own Protocol will geo-restrict access to users from the United States and the United Kingdom.** 

Users are solely responsible for complying with their local regulations when accessing or interacting with the protocol.
